Best Keurig Settings for Tea Pods
How to brew Teavity organic tea pods for clearer flavor. Machine models differ, so use these as starting points.
Quick start
- Use fresh filtered water in the reservoir.
- Run a hot-water-only cycle if the last brew was coffee.
- Insert the Teavity pod and close the brew head fully.
- Start with an 8 oz cup size for most green and black teas.
- Taste, then adjust larger for milder cups or smaller for stronger.
Suggested cup sizes
- Green tea: 6–8 oz for brighter flavor.
- Black tea / chai / Earl Grey: 8–10 oz.
- Herbal / caffeine-free: 8–12 oz; herbs can take a fuller cup.
- Yerba mate: 6–8 oz if you want a stronger cup.
Iced tea method
Brew on a strong/small setting over a cup of ice, or brew hot and chill. Do not over-dilute on the largest cup size if you want bold iced tea.
FAQ
Why does my tea taste weak?
Try a smaller cup size, descale if due, and avoid brewing immediately after coffee without a water rinse.
Can I rebrew the same pod?
Not recommended. Flavor and strength drop sharply on a second brew.
